Shop Like A Designer With This Pro's Resource Round-Up
ELAINE SAYS: I'm always in awe of the way a skilled interior designer can re-interpret a room and execute that vision to perfection. If you've ever had the experience of working with a designer like LA-Based Erinn V., you know that seeing the installation for the first time can literally bring you to tears. While I can't instill you with that enviable skill, I can arm you with a pro-approved, a-plus source list, the secret weapon of any great designer. Erinn was nice enough to open her black book and create this list for us, to which you should also add her own, 5000 square foot showroom on Robertson Boulevard. Appropriately called, ERINN V. MAISON, the shop is filled with everything from furniture to accessories and I'm fairly certain that on occasion, it's the secret source for that "just right" object or two. Take a look at her work below and you'll see her expert taste in action. Thank you, Erinn...Happy decorating!

Erin's Personal Source List:
- Sarah Paloma Pottery SHOPEtsy is a great resource for affordable paper goods and handmade or vintage gifts. Sarah Paloma makes some of my most favorite pottery, I like to use a grouping of 6-8 pieces on a console or buffet.
- Fitzsu SHOPThis is a very modern store that is great for cool gifts, and interesting objects.
- Tableart SHOPFabulous, unique accessories, vases, bowls and linens. A great place for one-of-a-kind dinnerware. Two less expensive resources would be Home Goods or Anthropologie. Not all cities have a Homegoods and LA has several, which is unique.
- Hennessey and Ingalls SHOPIf you love art, design and architecture books, this is mecca!
- Liz's Antique Hardware SHOPMy go-to for vintage and contemporary hardware. They buy and sell, so the selection is always changing.
- Dragonette, Ltd. SHOPThis store always has a fantastic selection of some really unique pieces, from furniture to art and accessories. I always find something cool at Dragonette. I purchased a great Italian bar cart for a client recently here.
- A+R SHOPA fun store for modern design gifts and small items. If you're in Los Angeles, Abbot Kinney in Venice is a cool, hip area to shop for vintage pieces.
- The Rug Company SHOPFor fun and funky, or bold designs I stop into the Rug Co. Their unique patterns work well in most spaces.
- Downtown SHOPA great resource for vintage lighting. Their back room is a playground of vintage murano lamps and pieces that make any room stand out.
- Mecox Gardens SHOPMecox has stores around the country, and a terrific website. They carry a nice selection of vintage and reproduction items.
