Erica Cerulo & Claire Mazur: Co-Founders, Of A Kind
Curators Of The Most Talented Kind
ELAINE SAYS: I subscribe to a ton of newsletters...a ton. But there are really only a handful that I truly look forward to. Erica Cerulo and Claire Mazur's, OF A KIND, is one of them. Of A Kind is based in NYC and I'm in LA so we've never met in person, but I find Claire and Erica to be kindred spirits of sorts. In their DNA seems to live an excitement about talented, emerging designers and a genuine curiosity about the stories behind the products. I get it....always want to know everything! But these two ladies...one with a background in Art Management and Fashion and the other in Editorial, put their shared passions together in a magical and wonderfully innovative way. Here's how it works... Claire and Erica scout emerging designers to feature on Of A Kind, from handbags to jewelry to home goods and everything in between (dream job). Then, they work with the designers to develop a product exclusive to Of A Kind (yes, it just got better) and finally, they sell the pieces to the rest of us in small batches of limited editions (everyone wins!). The spirit of the site is accessible, the products are fun and interesting and the price points are generally affordable. Plus, they always include lots of background and personal info about the designers. You have to check it out, if you haven't already. Clearly, they're a perfect fit for The List Collective and I'm so happy that they've collaborated on this A-List. LIke me, they feature people who's work they love and It is my absolute pleasure today, to feature them! Enjoy trying on their one Of A Kind lifestyle of online finds and neighborhood favorites.

A Note From Erica Cerulo and Claire Mazur
We—Claire and Erica, the Of a Kind co-founders!—love a lot of the same things. Is that weird? We like to think we have good taste, but it might just be that way spend way too much time together—we'll let you be the judge. Claire + EricaErica and Claire's Online Finds
- Erica Weiner WEBSITEThere’s something so special about popping into Erica Weiner’s shops and hearing about the history behind some of her vintage-influenced jewelry, and the does a really good job of conveying those tales online, too. How could you not want to know everything there is to know about an elephant hair ring [pictured]?
- Zingerman's WEBSITEOk, we gift the sour cream coffeecake from this amazing Michigan food emporium ALL THE TIME. It’s so delicious! And the company has such killer customer service that we feel compelled to support it whenever we can.
- RMS Living Luminizer WEBSITEWe’re both humungo beauty junkies. One of our fave recent finds: This just-shimmery cream from RMS—our amazing web developer Diana gifted it to us!—that makes your skin look all glowy (especially helpful during the so dry cold weather).
- Unison WEBSITEThe appeal of Unison’s home goods: Everything, from the duvet covers to the aprons, is simple but special. Plus! The biz is based in Chicago, where we met!
- Loeffler Randall WEBSITEUgh, the shoes and the bags—if we could both have one of each, we’d be really happy girls. The prints on their collab with Tucker (a line Of a Kind has worked with!) are getting us jazzed for spring.
Erica and Claire's Neighborhood Faves
- Gran Electrica WEBSITE | 5 Front Street, BrooklynHow much do we love micheladas? So much that we crave them in the dead of winter. Our very favorite place to drink the savory, spicy beer cocktail is at this Dumbo restaurant—which also has a really nice backyard for lazy summer dinners.
- Organic Modernism WEBSITE | 85 White Street, NYCOn a walk back to our Financial District office a few weeks ago, we stumbled upon this furniture store and fell in love immediately. The pieces are really classic but cool—and really well-priced.
- The Sill WESITEOur goal: To fill our office with green. And our favorite source is The Sill—a brand-new company that delivers plants all around NYC. The little succulent sets are so cute you wanna die.
- Pure Food and Wine WEBSITE | 54 Irving Place, NYCThough it’s nowhere near where we work, we’re always looking for excuses to have lunches at Pure Food & Wine. It’s as hippie-dippie as is sounds, but the food really is ridiculously good. Especially the sesame salad.
- Love Adorned WEBSITE | 269 Elizabeth Street, NYCWe never make it to local boutiques as often as we intend to, but whenever we’re in Nolita, we pop into Love Adorned. They carry so many of the jewelry designers Of a Kind has worked with—Lauren Wolf, Better Late Than Never, Collette Ishiyama—and always have new stuff to ogle.
