Brand New Fashion Designer Discovery: Denis Gagnon VISIT WEBSITEOn a recent trip to Montreal, i stumbled upon Denis Gagnon passing a window display and practically running down the stairs to find a boutique completely full of pieces i coveted the minute i saw them. Denis is known for his "couture" approach to leather, his precise cuts and his spectacular detail. He had some of the most unique, edgy, interesting pieces i have seen all year. I tried on a few items, gasping at the genius of them all and then ended up having Denis bring a piece out from his design studio- which, lucky for me, happened to be right behind the boutique- and slipping it on. The problem was it is for Montreal Fashion Week, September 2012 and i wanted it the minute the softest leather with the chic-est straight jacket style hit my body. It didn't have a price on it yet and i couldn't even get my handsome boyfriend, who Denis was looking at through those infamous black glasses of his, to convince him to let us buy it on the spot. Sigh, i will have to wait.

Her manicures last over a week and they are so reasonably priced as well. My friends and I spent years trying to figure out if its the top coat she uses, the dryer lights, or her magic touch but finally we gave up and just accepted that with a beautiful manicure, who needs to know the answers? Its hands down the best manicure I've ever had. Thank god it snows in LA!

I bring all my clients here and even though she doesn't speak much english, somehow we have a secret language and understand each other to a tee- not to mention the cleaners is a must- environmentally friendly, inexpensive and fast! This is like no other hotel you have ever seen- and every corner takes your breath away. Make sure to take advantage of the "Tri Hita Karana Day- private yoga, cooking class, temple tour," and 2 1/2 hours of a private spa villa with a free-standing bathtub where you soak as they serve you cookies and tea. Heavenly connection to spirit and living the life.
