Corey Lynn Calter: Fashion Designer
This Fashion Designer Sketches A Quality List With A Touch Of Quirk
ELAINE SAYS: Let me start by saying, you have to love a fashion designer who's inspiration history includes, "granny meets punk rock". Corey Lynn Calter has many sides and represents a creatively rich cocktail of experiences and influences that define the aesthetic she has today. Old world family artisanship, a fine arts education, coming-of-age in the punk scene and an innate love of vintage and victorian style. All of these elements converge, refining the voice of this LA-based designer and her eponymous label, COREY LYNN CALTER Now, adding wife and mom to her list of accomplishments and influences, she's doing better than ever. Currently in more than 200 stores from Barney's to Nordstrom, she also has a line of housewares (oh, I'd love to do that!) at Anthropologie and she continues to dress style-cenctric celebs with unique fashion perspectives like, Kate Hudson, Jessica Alba and Zooey Deschanel. I love the variety and unpredictability that is Corey and I think it shows in her clothes and in this fun list of unique finds.
