  1. Local Fave: Angelo Shoe Repair shoesVISIT WEBSITE | LOCATION: Angelo Shoe Repair 724 Montana Avenue, Santa Monica [Santa Monica]Angelo's shoe repair on Montana Avenue Santa Monica.  Angelo is a genius, he has great tips to care for couture shoes.  He told me to re-sole all my shoes before I wear them to keep them in the best shape.  Since then, he has re-soled every pair of shoe I own; has repaired zippers on my Jimmy Choo boots; and has fixed some of my vintage bags.  The best part is, that he can re-sole your Christian's with red soles so you can still have the red sole signature. He is bit pricey, however, he knows great shoes and handles them delicately and with kid gloves.  For every pair of shoes you purchase, they should be re-soled and maintained for daily wear & tear. If you do this, your shoes will live a long, well-heeled life.
  2. Local Fave: The Fitting Room - Santiago tailor toolsLOCATION: 11740 San Vicente Boulevard Suite 112, Los Angeles [Brentwood]Santiago at the Fitting Room in Brentwood.  I have been going to him for over 12 years, send all my clients and they have always been very pleased with his work and prices. He is an amazing tailor and fast.  He knows beautiful clothes and how they should fit.  He will custom design and make suggestions for old pieces that you want to update as well. I adore him so much that he was a guest at my wedding...

  4. Online Find: Raquel Allegra raquel allegraVISIT WEBSITERaquel Allegra is one my favorite designers and consistently sells out at Spool, in 2-3 days. Raquel's tees are so comfortable but still have a bit of an edge. I am guilty of sleeping in one of her tees on an occasion.  Every season she mixes it up with new styles and fabrics. Her pieces are part of my daily uniform.  Her shredded cashmere is incredible and her jackets are amazing too.  I just looked at her Spring 2012 collection and it is by far one of her best yet...
  5. Online Find: Beth Orduna beth ordunaVISIT WEBSITEOne of my staple "go-to pieces" every day is my coveted, "pearls on leather," by Beth Orduna. They pull together the simple jeans and t-shirt uniform. They also give my daily sweat pants look an instant 'chic' update.  I never leave my house without my grey on brown leather strand. My clients feel the same and have purchased multiple strands and layer them. They are timeless and an easy day to night accessory.
  6. Online Find: Loup Charmant loup charmantVISIT WEBSITEI am jazzed about loup charmant, a new, brooklyn-based designer for spool.  It is a luxury fashion loungewear and sleepwear collection based in Brooklyn, New York.  It's a very small collection with a limited color palette but mainly consists of soft crisp white sleepwear, sun dresses, and luxe lounge wear. She uses the finest organic cotton. Her pieces are to be enjoyed in the summer sun - however can be carried over from season to season.
  7. Local Fave: Knitwear Doctor knitwear doctorVISIT WEBSITE | LOCATION: Knitwear Doctor 1651 Placentia Avenue, Costa MesaI have been using them for about a decade now to repair and de-pill all my cashmere and knits pieces. They are the best, however, a little expensive - but they do the best job and are worth every penny for your beautiful luxe cashmere.
  8. Online Find: Mother Jeans mother jeansVISIT WEBSITEThe best new denim line ever is Mother Jeans. The most flattering and most comfortable jeans for all body types. I own 5 pairs now and am big fan of the looker skinny crop and the runaway jean
  9. Local Fave: Tony's Leather Repair bagLOCATION: Tony's Leather Repair 205 South Beverly Drive, Suite 201, Beverly Hills [BH]Tony is incredible. He was referred thru Saks personally. I took my Chanel in for repair and they shared that it would take 3-6 months for repair after shipping to Italy.  So I tried Tony.  He was fast and did a superb job. When you spend the money we do on designer bags you want to be confident the person repairing does an expert job.  I highly recommend him to all women for handbags repairs.
  10. Local Fave: Farm Shop farm shopVISIT WEBSITE | LOCATION: Farm Shop 225 26th Street #25, Santa MonicaMy new fav new spot is The Farm Shop in Brentwood Mart. They have the best coffee and thee best almond croissant I've ever had. My daughter loves the banana muffins and asks for them daily.  They have great breakfast and lunch menu using local farmers etc. The crispy artichokes with burrata and the squash soup are other lunch favorites. It can get busy during lunch and  is packed on the weekends. They offer dinner as well, however, I haven't been - but hear it is excellent. It's the perfect little spot for gal pals to meet up a for a quick cup of joe or power lunch with the execs. I usually stop in Toy Crazy for Ava and Sugar Paper while I am there to stock on my favorite stationery.
