Celebrity Fitness Trainer, Kit Rich is just the kind of friend you want whispering in your ear at this time of year. Fitness Director at I Heart Fitness XO, in Studio City and having trained Celebs from Sting and Trudy to Kesha and Tiffany Amber Theissan, her motto is, "High Butt, Happy Life"...nuff said. We're all taking inventory of our cupboards and closets, reassessing our choices and diving into change. In fact, I've jumped on board the bandwagon as well, already a few weeks into a low carb/high protein meal plan. It's working (yay) but Kit really got me thinking with a provocative article she wrote for Beautylish titled, "Is too much protein making you fat?". Headline: Without a high level of exercise, excess protein stores as fat. Shoot me now. Moving on… Beyond the scrambling for diet and fitness quick-fixes, we all simply need some balance and a list of go-to resources and great snack spots in our own neighborhoods, that offer good quality, healthy options. I can get excited about that. If we're constantly faced with all the goodies that took us to the dark place, then how will we ever get out of it?
