An Eco-Friendly Lifestyle That Gives Priscilla Woolworth's Iconic Legacy a Modern Twist

ELAINE SAYS: The dots that connected me to Priscilla Woolworth were the loveliest sort...I'd invited Stylist/Lifestyle Curator, Agnes Baddoo to contribute an A-List to the site. It was a great one, as I knew it would be [Peak Here] and on it, she included a new eco-commerce site of a most familiar title, Priscilla Woolworth. Of course, I recognized the family name as that of the iconic, F.W. Woolworth Five and Dime stores. I immediately got that "listers high" that propelled me to B-line directly to Priscilla's Site. What I found, is that Priscilla has reinvented that historical, Woolworth brand in a modern, fresh and personal way. Inspired by her passion for green living, Priscilla Woolworth's shop is stocked with environmentally sound products that she's personally approved and road-tested. Similarly, her Almanac, which I subscribe to, is full of inspiring, sustainable lifestyle ideas and interesting peaks into her own home life at her [obviously] eco-friendly LA perch, where she bases her operation and lives with her two girls. And so here I sit, basking in afterglow of the perfectly travelled road to Priscilla. I hope you enjoy her list and the dots that connect you to other things you love and people you find interesting. A NOTE FROM PRISCILLLA...

I launched priscillawoolworth.com almost 4 years ago, an online eco friendly general store. My journey started years before that, when I became aware of the challenges we are facing, and that it's urgent we protect and nourish our precious resource: the Earth. The way many of us live is not sustainable anymore so I learned how to make changes in my own life without sacrificing the things that I loved, and discovered a much happier and healthier way to live.  I drew inspiration from what my ancestors created generations ago, the iconic F.W. Woolworth stores, and continue my family's legacy of providing affordable products, though mine are green as well. My store carries everyday practical products, which are non-toxic, long lasting, attractive, and made from either recycled, 100% organic or sustainable materials. Through my monthly almanac blog, I share the many positive and exciting things that people are doing to make our environment a healthier and more sustainable place to live.  Today, I share these ideas with you...
