5 Game Changing Products I Absolutely Can't...Scratch That...Don't Want To Live Without

There is nothing worse than blowing big bucks on bad beauty products. I have filled more than one trash bag with wounded soldiers that just didn't make the cut. But this is definitely a "love list." Covering dark circles, brightening and hydrating skin and mending sun/chlorine-damaged hair....These are a few favorites, old and new, that really work for me and sit front and center in my bathroom cabinet. Hope they work for you too! xx -e [photo courtesy, fabiopoptrash]

  1. C The Difference: Obagi Profesional C Serum 20% Professional-C-Serum SHOP ONLINE: Amazon.com | SHOP LOCALLY: Dr. Rebecca Fitzgerald, 321 North Larchmont Boulevard, Los Angeles [Larchmont] One problem with most beauty products....it takes time to see a difference.  The beauty of  the Obagi Professional C Serum 20%, is that you have brighter skin immediately.  For me, it's a keeper.  Prices are significantly lower at online at sites like Amazon.com, but if you can't wait, you can get it locally from Dr. Fitz.
  2. Eye Love Hydration: Shiseido Pure Retinol Instant Treatment Eye Mask shiseidoVISIT WEBSITE | LOCATION: Barneys New York, 9570 Wilshire Boulevard, Beverly Hills [BH] I recently went to Barneys to pick up some of my fave Concealer (listed below) and James, at the Cle De Peau Counter, upsold me these miracle moisturizing sheets to hydrate my eyes so the concealer would work better.  He was so convincing, and I knew my skin was ridiculously summer-dry, so I went for it. He promised that they were "game changing" and they were!  I absolutely love using these little sheets and that delicate skin under my eyes is thanking me.  I can't wait to tell him....I was so skeptical!
  3. Greater Exfoliator: Colbert MD Intensify Facial Discs colbermdVIEW WEBSITE | LOCATION: Barneys New York, 9570 Wilshire Boulevard, Beverly Hills [BH] For the hot, summer days when more sweat and time outdoors means dirty skin,  "Colbert MD's Intensify Facial Discs" are great little exfoliators.  Each pad has a handy tab built onto it, making the discs easy to handle and keeping the them from sticking together.  They're a little pricey but this time of year, you'll be glad you have 'em.
  4. A Real Deal Concealer: Cle De Peau Concealer concealerVISIT WEBSITE | LOCATION: Barneys New York,  9570 Wilshire Boulevard, Beverly Hills [BH] Also listed by Lister, Hillary Fogelson as a mommy make-up essential for tired eyes, I have to give it a big thumbs up as well.  I've always had dark circles under my eyes and no amount of sleep or water intake will change that...ugh.  Fortunately, this concealer does!  It truly corrects better than any other product I've found.  Especially when I apply it gently, with a brush.  And if used along with the hydration pads recommended above and/or a daily hydration serum (Cle De Peau makes a good one called, Eye Contour Essence Anti-dark circles), you will see a difference.  But don't kid yourself the way I had been....if your skin isn't hydrated, there isn't a concealer around that will give you it's full benefit!
  5. Mission to Condition: Yoshi Hair Conditioning Products yoshiVISIT WEBSITE | LOCATION: Yoshi Hair Studio 450 North Canon Drive, Beverly Hills [BH]You won't believe this natural product duo from Yoshi, a Fekkai vet now in his own, eponymous salon in Beverly Hills.   Yoshi offers this amazingly deep, signature conditioning treatment, in the salon...which I got. But you can also bring the product home....which I did!  He begins with Yoshi's Magic Water to open the hair shaft and prep for the conditioner.  Then, he applies Yoshi's Conc Magic Treatment. Finally, a quick steam and rinse.  My hair was a different texture when I left!  Thick, Shiny...Luxurious, actually.  It was pretty insane.  Ask him about the Japanese hair band that helps replicate the steam, for home treatments.  *FYI, Yoshi uses adjustable sinks that are so comfortable.  Anyone who's neck has been contorted by a bad salon sink will really appreciate that like I did :)
