Bored of Your Cheese Board?
A Sophisticated Spin On Your Holiday Cheese Choices
I don't know about you but in about...24 hours, I'm going to be picking up, setting up and cooking up a storm. And all with little feet running along behind me and little voices asking me to find shoes, build forts, explain what mascara does and of course, help. It makes for a hectic...cute, but hectic day. Bottom line, if you're a mom that entertains, you have to have some non-cook options, like a beautiful cheese board. And by that, I don't been a block of cheddar and some triscuits. So, since we can all confess to hovering nervously over the exotic cheeses wondering what to try, I asked the SPOON FORK BACON ladies, Jenny Park and Teri Lyn Fisher, to pick five of their faces, so we too can choose cheeses like a pro. Thanks, Jenny and Teri!

- Le Gruyere Premier Cru (or another great quality, cave-aged Gruyere) Le Gruyère Premier Cru is a great choice, but you can also pick another great quality 'cave-aged gruyere'. One of the most popular types of Swiss cheese, Gruyere is a hard cows milk cheese with nutty, mushroom flavors. It's a great cheese for melting/baking as well as snacking!
- Truffle Tremor Truffle Tremor's flavors are Nutty Truffles and Tangy Goat Cheese, which come together to create a wonderfully balanced and elegant cheese.
- Affidelice Affidelice is a wash-rind cow's milk cheese, extremely creamy in texture with a soft pungent flavor; great with a variety of wines.
- Bleu Stilton Bleu Stilton is a semi-soft cheese, strong in flavor and smell.
- Taleggio Known as one of the oldest soft cheeses, Taleggio is a wash-rind, smeared cheese that's surprisingly mild in flavor with slight fruity notes.
